Dear Reader,

A little bit about your hostess…

I have always loved academia, and graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA (Hons) in the History of Art & Architecture.

My love of writing led towards a career in marketing, and I established myself as a freelance social media and marketing consultant.

A much-needed change in direction has taken me away from the cold-hearted world of marketing and led me back to my first love of writing and research. This is a particularly delightful period to be in as I can choose which topics to write about, being thoroughly self-indulgent in choosing my own fantasy escapist world.

As is evident from my work here, my current topics of research focus heavily on local history and tales of the curious kind, taking inspiration from little known archives of folk history and the natural world.

I currently volunteer for the Norfolk Record Office as a guest blogger, and have created content for many charities, including Astriid, Girlguiding, YMCA and smaller local charities and businesses.

I am considering writing a book at some point (aren’t we all?!)…but that’s a subject I continue to ponder on at leisure.
